Attention Facebook: I am not spamming people by reading messages

by Jason Preston on April 8, 2008

Apparently the anti-spam account-disabling features at Facebook are just as inconsistent as their privacy features. This popped up on my screen while I was reading my FB messages this morning:

Anyone else being threatened for reading messages?

we need to have an ALL CURMUDGEON facebook conference. they are so inconsistent and still driven by fears of becoming the worst of what myspace has been.

i’m still facing Poupfile (profile vs page vs group) challenges and have had friends threatened with booting for just using the system.

i know they are under pressure not to enable spam and pedophilia and all sorts of things, but a little transparency in this area is sorely needed.

if you don’t know the rules of the road, you might be tempted not to use the road at all
