I respect her central idea — although I disagree with it. What I don’t respect is her refusal to listen to the other side of the argument anymore. I wonder why she’s even raising the subject if she’s not open to debate on the issue.

I don’t think it’s disgraceful at all for Columbia to host Ahmadinejad. As critical thinkers, we should be able to listen to ideas that we find repugnant and debate them using reason and logic. This raises my estimation of both Columbia and Ahmadinejad. A

Wow.
I read the link to the first post. There were some VERY radical opinions in the comments and I posted a very polite, well-though (I think) comment. It was approved, someone told me to f**k off (literally, that was the only thing they said).
The my comment and replies were deleted, and the site owner left this:
“I put “Jack’s” comments and the several responses to it out of their corporate misery. No need to subject ourselves to that kind of thing, that comment was approved by accident.”

In fact, I actually DID stumble into the wrong part of the Internet with this post. These items were meant to go up on my personal blog, but I accidentally shared them using my WebCommunityForum account instead.
